DESCRIPTION:Our seniors deserve to stay in their homes and engaged in the c
ommunities they love. Westside PacificVillages is making that happen.\n WPV
is not a retirement facility or caregiving agency. We are a non-profit or
ganization coordinating a network of local volunteers to assist our member
s with everyday life.\n Transportation is our number one service requested\
, given that many of our members can no longer drive. Getting out and abou
t is a necessary and integral part of maintaining a healthy\, happy life.
These local trips often take less than 30 minutes and volunteers can choos
e to do just one-way if not both ways.\n Daytime Drivers – Volunteers are n
eeded throughout the week to drive members to/from medical appointments\,
social events\, beauty shop/barber\, the grocery store\, and assist with o
ther general errands.\n Weekend Drivers – Volunteers are needed to drive me
mbers to/from religious services\, the grocery store\, and assist with oth
er general errands.
