Big Sunday happily welcomes you to Our Really Big Community Calendar.
We try to include all kinds of volunteering and helping opportunities for all kinds of interests, talents, passions, and ages! As you’ll see, these include volunteering opportunities (one-time and long-term) as well as the chance to support a nonprofit by attending fundraising events. Plus, of course, we include all of Big Sunday’s homegrown events, too! Whoever you are, and whatever you do, there is someone out there who could use your help.

This year, our annual gala will be a family-friendly day of fun at which dozens of game makers, artists, athletes, and innovators will converge to host experiences for guests of all ages. Moments of surprise and delight, culinary diversions, classic games, creative adventures, and celebrity encounters will create memories that last a lifetime.
It's FIESTA time again! Join us for our annual food and craft fair held at 24th Street! This year's Fiesta will feature a composting petting zoo, a garden scavenger hunt, and a craft corner where you and yours can make upcycled planters, lavender bundles, and so much more!

It's approximately 2150 square feet and sits on 18.3 acres of land at Greystone Mansion & Gardens: The Doheny Estate, owned by the City of Beverly Hills. New! Gardening calss for children. Everyone knows kids who grow broccoli eat broccoli. You dont want to miss this! Ages 6-12 years old. The classes will teach : Intro to Soil, Amending a Bed, Tool Safety, Plant Selection, and Seed Starting.
Registration must be completed through Beverly Hills Community Services Department. You will be confirmed registration once payment is made. No onsite registration on day of class.

Join us on Sunday, October 7th, 2018, for our 6th Annual Carnival! Hosted by SPY Board Member Peter Micelli and his wife Jennifer Lang at their home. This family friendly event includes carnival games, food and drink, a raffle, and more! 100% of funds raised from Carnival will go towards SPY's programs that help homeless youth exit the streets.
Safe Place for Youth (SPY) provides life-saving support to homeless and at-risk youth ages 12-25 in West Los Angeles. Our mission is to inspire, nurture, and empower the resilient human spirit of homeless youth by providing immediate and lasting solutions, one young person at a time. We do this through a continuum of care including case management, education and employment support, health and wellness care, street outreach, and access to basic survival needs of food, showers and clothing. In 2017, SPY provided services to 1,171 individual homeless and at-risk youth.
