Big Sunday happily welcomes you to Our Really Big Community Calendar.
We try to include all kinds of volunteering and helping opportunities for all kinds of interests, talents, passions, and ages! As you’ll see, these include volunteering opportunities (one-time and long-term) as well as the chance to support a nonprofit by attending fundraising events. Plus, of course, we include all of Big Sunday’s homegrown events, too! Whoever you are, and whatever you do, there is someone out there who could use your help.

Volunteers are needed setting up for gigantic yard sale. Mostly schlepping boxes and helping organize tables Wednesday and Thursday, Nov 4 & 5. Yard sale will be Friday, 9 am – 5 pm and Saturday, 9 am – 12 pm (11/6 &11/7). The money raised supports free school programs, including a free afterschool drop-in center computer lab and low-cost summer camps. No religious beliefs or affiliation required.

The Emerson Avenue Community Garden Club is hosting the first annual Westchester Arts & Music (aka WAM!) Block Party, a free, day-long celebration filled with live music/dance, art, food and community. They’re closing down the street and opening up the garden for arts and crafts activities for all ages and a diverse mix of performances, vendors and food trucks, including Kogi BBQ!
