Big Sunday happily welcomes you to Our Really Big Community Calendar.
We try to include all kinds of volunteering and helping opportunities for all kinds of interests, talents, passions, and ages! As you’ll see, these include volunteering opportunities (one-time and long-term) as well as the chance to support a nonprofit by attending fundraising events. Plus, of course, we include all of Big Sunday’s homegrown events, too! Whoever you are, and whatever you do, there is someone out there who could use your help.

The Khalsa Care Foundation invites you to an afternoon fill of free fun for the entire family, including giveaways, free games, food and an awesome raffle. The KCF giveaway, sponsored by the Sikh Community of Los Angeles, will include food bags, winter warmth items (i.e. blankets, jackets, socks, hygiene kits, gloves and beanies) and toys (basketballs, soccer balls and kid’s toys). Do you love the show Wipe Out? Come volunteer for the Insane Inflatable 5K with the American Cancer Society! Don't miss the Children's Bureau Annual Book Fair where thousands of gently used books are distributed to low-income children! It's a celebration of literacy and children's books. A Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) is a trained, dedicated and caring community volunteer, who has the opportunity to broadly influence the life of a foster child by advocating across many important life issues, including permanent placement, health care, education, and enrichment activities. The first step toward becoming a CASA is attending an information session. Join the CASA team for an hour to learn how you can make a much-needed difference in the life of a foster child.
