Big Sunday happily welcomes you to Our Really Big Community Calendar.
We try to include all kinds of volunteering and helping opportunities for all kinds of interests, talents, passions, and ages! As you’ll see, these include volunteering opportunities (one-time and long-term) as well as the chance to support a nonprofit by attending fundraising events. Plus, of course, we include all of Big Sunday’s homegrown events, too! Whoever you are, and whatever you do, there is someone out there who could use your help.

Join us for our first-ever Mother’s Day Party! It will be a great time for anyone who is a mom, has a mom, or knows a mom. We’ll be making cards and gifts for moms who are shut-ins and doing special collections for Mothers Against Drunk Drivers, and m2m (Mother 2 Mother) which helps women with AIDS in Africa. We’ll also be collecting new and gently used baby clothes for an orphanage in Central America. All ages are welcome. For more info, please email beenish@bigsunday.org. There are lots of talented musicians in the Big Sunday community who have helped Big Sunday projects in all kinds of important ways. For the first time, Big Sunday is hosting a special night of music featuring a few of these musicians including: George Hill (New Directions Veteran Choir); The Hollywood Forever Bluegrass Band (Mark Drop, "Utah Bob" Rosenfield, Maddie Eaton, Ulrich Sinn and Brian Mastalski); Michelle Mayne-Graves (also from the New Directions Veteran Choir); Rob Seals & Co.; Sophie Strauss and, alas, David Levinson. Event admission is free; ages 21 and up; beer and wine will be served. Please RSVP to beenish@bigsunday.org. Donations of new pairs of socks are greatly appreciated and will benefit Big Sunday veteran Adam B.’s sock drive for the homeless.
Each year people from all walks of life join us to eat, sing (with a live band!) and enjoy the holidays. Special guest have included low-income seniors, kids with challenges, women and children from a domestic viloence shelter, vets, and others who needed a little extra TLC at the holidays. We'll collect toys, food for hungry families, and winter coats, too.
