Big Sunday happily welcomes you to Our Really Big Community Calendar.
We try to include all kinds of volunteering and helping opportunities for all kinds of interests, talents, passions, and ages! As you’ll see, these include volunteering opportunities (one-time and long-term) as well as the chance to support a nonprofit by attending fundraising events. Plus, of course, we include all of Big Sunday’s homegrown events, too! Whoever you are, and whatever you do, there is someone out there who could use your help.

You're invited to Program for Torture Victim’s OPEN HOUSE from 4pm-7pm at their KOREATOWN office in recognition of WORLD REFUGEE DAY. They warmly hope you can join them for wine and appetizers! Come mingle with PTV’s board, staff, and volunteers, tour their facilities and see what they do every day to support Southern California's most vulnerable refugees.
Join Investing in Place and Impact Hub LA for a reception celebrating LA's social change makers! This is an open house where all are welcome! Expect a fun night alongside advocates from community-based organizations, philanthropy partners, community members, and passionate Angelenos!

Union Station Homeless Services in Pasadena, San Gabriel Valley's largest social services agency, is holding a 5K Walk "March Home: Ending Homelessness One Step at a Time" on Saturday, June 10th, 2017.
Volunteer positions are available; no orientation required. Youth ages 10-16 may volunteer for the Cheer Team positions. Minimum age to volunteer is 10 years old.

- EVENT 6:00am-12:00pm
- CHILDREN'S FUN ZONE 6:00am-12:00pm – We are looking for people who like to do face painting!
- CHEER TEAM 8:30am-12:00pm
- CLEAN-UP 11:00am-2:00pm
- TO SIGN UP: Email volunteer@unionstationhs.org and indicate which shift you would like, the ages if between 10-16, and how many are in your party. Please provide your best email and cell phone/home phone number.
The route goes past Union Station's three permanent supportive housing programs: Centennial Place, Euclid Villa, and Marv's Place. The Finish Line Festival will include guest speakers, live music, family fun zone, food trucks and more!
Heart of LA’s (HOLA) Alumni will host a VIP Reception for HOLA graduating Seniors, Board members and Special Guests prior to the Graduation Ceremony, celebrating the accomplishments of elementary, middle, high school, college AND graduate school graduates in the Rampart District of Los Angeles.
