We try to include all kinds of volunteering and helping opportunities for all kinds of interests, talents, passions, and ages! As you’ll see, these include volunteering opportunities (one-time and long-term) as well as the chance to support a nonprofit by attending fundraising events. Plus, of course, we include all of Big Sunday’s homegrown events, too! Whoever you are, and whatever you do, there is someone out there who could use your help.

The Hollywood Arts Council is thrilled to bring this year's Children's Festival of the Arts to Project SOAR school Cheremoya Elementary!
On June 3 from 12 – 4 pm, enjoy dance and music from around the world, celebrity appearances, family art workshops, magic and costume characters, face painting, and more!
Admission to the festival is free.

Located at Mother’s Beach in Marina Del Rey, CA, this Youth Water Sports Camp is offered as a community service to boys and girls ages 8 to 18 and their families from June through September.
The half-day summer camp provides instruction in the basic fundamentals of sit-on-top kayaking.

NCJWLA's Back 2 School Store provides Los Angeles children in-need with brand new clothing, shoes and school supplies so they can start the school year with pride. The Store is a one day event with adult volunteers helping children choose the styles and sizes that are just right for them. Children and their families can also explore the resource fair and learn about safety, vision and dental health, and nutrition from community organizations. We have volunteer jobs for everyone to help the day run smoothly and to help kids leave with smiles on their faces.
CCHC’s 2nd annual Back To School Wellness event will be on Saturday, August 12, 2017.
This year, the event will be hosted at Pacific Park, Glendale CA and providing 1,000 students in grades K-12 with a free backpack and school supplies. During the event, participants will have the opportunity to engage in fun games, raffles, live music and games. They will also have the ability to obtain social services and health education resources. This event is open to the public and anyone is welcome.
Currently, volunteers are needed to help with this event and assist in registering people at the entrance, handing out wristbands, handing out free backpacks or directing them around the area, etc. For more info, please contact Yasmin Gonzalez.
Make an impact and mentor high school students as they launch their own businesses! As a volunteer with Junior Achievement of Southern California, you will coach students through the creation, marketing, and production and sale of product or service. We provide the curriculum and you bring the real-world experience to inspire these students to turn their dreams into a business.
Class meets once a week each Thursday from 3:30 pm – 4:30 pm, starting January until April 20th.
