Big Sunday happily welcomes you to Our Really Big Community Calendar.
We try to include all kinds of volunteering and helping opportunities for all kinds of interests, talents, passions, and ages! As you’ll see, these include volunteering opportunities (one-time and long-term) as well as the chance to support a nonprofit by attending fundraising events. Plus, of course, we include all of Big Sunday’s homegrown events, too! Whoever you are, and whatever you do, there is someone out there who could use your help.
If you have questions about our calendar, or would like to add a listing, please contact calendar@bigsunday.org or submit your event/opportunity via the button below.
Join our friends at MEND (Meet Every Need with Dignity) for their annual fundraiser benefitting MEND’s programs. This special event culminates just after MEND’s huge donation drive from June 9 – July 8, which includes donations of furniture; house ware and decorative items; electronics; toys and jewelry that are in good-to-excellent condition for MEND’s clients.
For more information on the fundraiser, please contact MEND Clothing Department Manager Veronica Soto at 818-686-7328 or veronica@mendpoverty.org.
MEND’s mission is to break the bonds of poverty by providing basic human needs and a pathway to self-reliance.
Don't miss Nueva Vision Community School's Fundraiser Event on July 22 at 7 pm! This special affair will help the school cover operational costs for important music programs for kids and teens from low-income families in the San Fernando Valley. The program not only offers free music (piano and guitar) lessons to these students, but it also covers the costs of lesson books, materials, instruments and administrative expenses.
The event will feature operatic soprano and Nueva Vision Community School voice teacher Julie Anne Bermel.
In addition to the special event, the good folks at Nueva Vision Community School are also in search of a volunteer to aid the organization in marketing to make more of an impact on friends and potential donors. Volunteers with expertise in the areas of website and social media marketing are especially needed.
For more info on how you can get involved today, please contact Joel Valle at 818-235-2281 or joel.valle@neuevavisioncs.org.
